Separating the player from the train

Today I separated the train from the player controlling it (non-descript blue+pink blob in the bottom right is the temporary top-down player sprite).
It's now possible to enter locomotives, drive them around, and then exit. This opens up the game to being able to implement navigable towns and buildings, and eventually, interactions with NPCs.
One amusing consequence of this setup right now, is that you can open up the throttle on a locomotive and exit it while it's moving, creating a genuine runaway train situation.
